OK, it is inevitable, the holiday season has blessed us yet again, and with that comes a guarantee of some degree of food stagnation ! This is a simple forum,...a place to share little secrets that may help the agonies associated with mixing turkey, ham, cranberry sauce, stuffing, potatoes, corn, salad, wine, egg nog, and various baking that differs according to family traditions.

My two cents: undo your belt and top button on pantz...

Bitters Digestive Aid

Your post reminds me, when I am over at one of my friends place his dad always hands out a alcohol extract sold in Europe (Switzerland ?) after dinner which aids digestion after big meals. They call it "Bitters" and it definitely is !

Anyone know which herbs would be in this digestive aid ?

Thanks

Season Greetings

Ryan

There is quite a long

There is quite a long history of using 'bitters' in Europe, and loads of different recipes. They are often called 'Swedish Bitters' - google search will bring up loads of varieties. This webpage has a sample recipe:

Hope this helps,
