I found this on New Scientist's website/blog and thought I would share. These are amazing images of ovulation of a 45-year-old woman and also a link to a movie on you tube.

The clinical trial is gently trundling along. I've got 30 people enrolled so far and we will ideally get another 10 before we stop recruitment at the beginning of April. It will be the end of August before we break the randomization code and find out who is in which group. However this study is only a feasibility study-it will not in any way be definitive.

In Jane Lyttleton's seminar, she talked about how certain Kidney Yang tonics boost mitochondrial ATP production by over 100%. Does anyone have a link to a study with this information in it? I have a patient who would very much like to read it (and so would I).
I tried to find Jane's email address on the internet, to no avail. (perhaps she will read this?)
Thanks in advance.

TBA. Treatment has just started.
If the plan presented is followed, my prognosis for natural conception within the next year is good.

My patient will be giving birth to a baby suspected of having Infantile Polycystic Kidney Disease (IPKD). Ultrasound has confirmed cyst's on the babies brain, an enlarged neck, and an MRI has shown the babies kidney's are twice the size they should be. Down's Syndrome has been ruled out, and both parent's have tested negative for cystic kidney's.

This review describes the aetiology and pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and
evaluates the use of acupuncture to prevent and reduce symptoms related with PCOS.

The word placebo has many connotations. Many think of it simply as a fake pill containing sugar.

Some see the term as derogatory since its effect could imply that a problem is not "real."

"These results indicate that such factors as warmth, empathy, duration of interaction, and the communication of positive expectation might indeed significantly affect clinical outcome. Future investigations will have to determine the relative importance of each of these elements of the patient-practitioner relationship"

Has anyone tried or heard of practitioners using North American white tailed deer, moose, elk or other North American deer-like antlers as a substitute for Lu Rong to tonify kidney Yang. I've got some access to some and want to know if anyone has any experience. Thanks Kaleb

Hang in their because this is a bit convoluted. I was doing some research on nausea in pregnancy and came across a line in Bensky on Zi Shi Ying stating that it supresses the abnormal rising ascent of Penetrating vessel Qi (Convenient Reader of Materia Medica by Zhang Bing-Cheng".
